چکیده

In this study, the orthogonal mechanical properties of additive manufacturing technology were explored. Firstly, six test pieces different stacking methods printed with a 3D printer, based on fused deposition modeling. The resonance frequency was measured by laser Doppler vibrometer as piece struck steel ball, which used to calculate orthotropic material constants. accuracy these constants then verified using finite element software through comparison experimental results from multiple natural modes. Thus, set for measurement and simulation verification established. Only three specific specimens are needed determine vibrating sensor technique, instead universal testing machine. We also analyzed influence printing parameters, including raster angle layer height, pieces. indicate that 0° leads highest Young’s modulus, 45° shear modulus G, height 0.15 mm strength. various stack conditions, fuse can be inversely calculating domain transformation.

Survey on Additive Manufacturing, Cloud 3D Printing and Services

Cloud Manufacturing (CM) is the concept of using manufacturing resources in a service oriented way over the Internet. Recent developments in Additive Manufacturing (AM) are making it possible to utilise resources ad-hoc as replacement for traditional manufacturing resources in case of spontaneous problems in the established manufacturing processes. In order to be of use in these scenarios the A...

Polymers for 3D Printing and Customized Additive Manufacturing

Additive manufacturing (AM) alias 3D printing translates computer-aided design (CAD) virtual 3D models into physical objects. By digital slicing of CAD, 3D scan, or tomography data, AM builds objects layer by layer without the need for molds or machining. AM enables decentralized fabrication of customized objects on demand by exploiting digital information storage and retrieval via the Internet...

Freeform 3D Printing: Towards a Sustainable Approach to Additive Manufacturing

Most additive manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing, utilize support materials in the fabrication process. Beyond the technical challenges of support removal, these materials are wasteful – increasing fabrication and processing time while impacting quality. This paper presents “Freeform Printing”, a novel design approach for 3D printing without additional auxiliary structures. A 6-axi...

Initial Work on the Characterization of Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) Using Software Image Analysis

A current challenge in additive manufacturing (commonly known as 3D printing) is the detection of defects. Detection of defects (or the lack thereof) in bespoke industrial manufacturing may be safety critical and reduce or eliminate the need for testing of printed objects. In consumer and prototype printing, early defect detection may facilitate the printer taking corrective measures (or pausin...
